February 2021 – ESS completes their 8th year of providing fingerprinting services to Carroll and surrounding counties.

November 2019 – ESS is selected as an MBE Partner with 22nd Century to staff the 2020 elections for the State of Maryland.
July 2019 – ESS proudly supports the C.O.P.S Camp in Westminster, MD where 125 area kids going into 9th – 12th grade experienced a police style academy camp.
June 2018 – ESS is now serving customers for fingerprinting services at Bollinger’s Gunsmithing & Sales located at 19 West Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787.
November 2017 – ESS is now serving customers for fingerprinting services at Hendershot’s Sporting Goods located at 19828 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
August 2017 – We are pleased to welcome Nolan Karfonta to ESS through our Carroll County Public Schools Business and Community Partnership as our Fall 2017 Liberty High School Intern.
May 2017 – ESS is recognized by Carroll County Public Schools during the May 2, 2017 Business and Community Partnership Reception as a Business Education Partner for 2016/2017. ESS has been working with Liberty High School’s Career Connections program and hosts an Intern who is studying business and also participated in the 2017 “Career Mock Interviews”.
April 2017 – A new partnership with Summer Camp Advisory Team, LLC (SCAT) has ESS working with three amazing summer camps throughout 20 states.
January 2017 – ESS in a partnership with the Carroll County Sheriff Office provides ink card fingerprinting for the Florida Wear and Carry/Renewal application.
December 2016 – ESS receives their Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification from Baltimore City. ESS is an established WBE for the following services: Administrative and Management Services, Human Resources Development Services, Executive Search Services, Temporary Personnel Services, and Document Preparation Services.
November 2016 – ESS had a successful day staffing four counties plus Baltimore City! Our hard work and dedication to the success of this contract proved to be successful in the quality staff provided.
October 2016 – October 22, 2016, ESS is fully staffed for four counties plus Baltimore City. We have 139 individuals trained and prepared to work on Election Day.
September 2016 – On September 12, 2016 ESS receives confirmation of renewal for our Maryland MBE participation. Certification #10-664 for Administrative Management and Consulting, HR Consulting Services, Executive Search Services, Temporary Help Services, Document Preparation and Investigative Services.
ESS has successfully met the initial staffing requirements of ten Trainers and five County Technicians for the Voter Support Staff. We will spend September fulfilling the remaining 129 positions assigned.
August 2016 – August is in full swing with recruiting and hiring of our Voter Support Staff! We have added four new Trainers to our team and continue to fill the positions throughout the State of Maryland. We also welcome Kirsten Matthiesen to our team as Compliance Manager. Kirsten will be working with the Voter Support Staff contract to ensure all requirements are met for reporting, documentation and staffing.
July 2016- We would like to welcome our two new staff members to the office!
Lauren Glass, CPA has joined us as Controller for ESS. Bringing Lauren on board is a huge step for ESS, she will assist with our plans for growth while handling all cash management.
June 2016- ESS is pleased to announce a new partnership with Adecco Government. Adecco Government was awarded the State Board of Elections Staffing contract in 2015. ESS will serve as the MBE subcontractor to Adecco Government during the 2016 General Election providing Election Staffing Support.
May 2016- Effective May 7th, we now accept walk ins the FIRST Saturday of every month. You may walk in from 9:00am – 12:00pm for fingerprinting and notary services. We strive to provide the best customer service at times that are convenient for you.
March 2016- We are proud to announce the opening of our new conference/training room! This conference room holds 12-15 people comfortably and is open to the public for a very reasonable cost.
February 2016- February 11, 2016 we successfully installed our SECOND set of Livescan fingerprinting equipment. The second set offers more flexibility to our offsite classes AND allows us to still serve clients in the office.
January 2016– New Year and NEW HOURS! We now accept walk-in customers from 9:00am – 3:00pm Monday through Friday! Need an evening appointment? Check our scheduling page, we have Technicians available for evening hours by appointment only.
December 2015– Effective December 11, 2015, we have moved into our new office! We are now located at 2028 Liberty Road, Suite 102, Eldersburg, MD 21784 (Peddler Square shopping center, behind Dairy Queen).
November 2015– We have signed a lease to relocate our office to 2028 Liberty Road, Suite 102, Eldersburg, MD 21784 effective 1/1/16. A second move was not in our plans, but the new office space is being built to suit our needs and will allow for a secured area to fingerprint, larger reception area for our customers, great parking and a convenient location. Stay tuned for more details!
August 2015– As of August 21st the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office will be suspending Fingerprint Services until further notice. ESS will continue to serve Carroll and surrounding Counties for their fingerprinting needs!
July 2015– 1,000 people fingerprinted through our new office as of July. Thank you for allowing ESS to service Carroll County!
May 2015– We are pleased to announce that we are now offering on-line appointment scheduling!
April 2015 – April 9th marks 5 years in business! We are pleased with our growth and look forward to the next 5 years.
January 2015 – We are settled into our new office space and continuing to grow! Our new address is 1036 Circle Drive, Lower Level, Sykesville, MD 21784.
November 2014 – We are pleased to expand our service offering to include onsite passport photos. All Technicians are Notary Publics.
August 2014 – ESS is awarded a State contract to provide fingerprinting for 300+ people throughout the state.
March 2014 – ESS is pleased to announce a partnership with IOTA Firearms and Security Training Academy. This partnership will allow ESS the opportunity to service fingerprint clients at a second location with weekend hours.
February 2013 – ESS staff receives certification training in Fingerprinting Techniques and ESS opens the first private provider Livescan Fingerprinting location in Carroll County, MD.
November 2012 – ESS successfully staffs their 6th election, providing Election Field Support throughout Maryland.
