LIVE SCAN/INK-CARD FINGERPRINTING
Our services include both traditional ink fingerprint cards and Live Scan electronic fingerprinting, allowing us to meet a wide range of requirements with accuracy and efficiency.
We use state‑of‑the‑art equipment featuring advanced optical fingerprint recognition, verification, and identification technology.
All of our technicians are highly trained and certified, ensuring every fingerprinting session is handled with precision and care. You can be confident that you will receive exceptional quality and the most reliable results when you work with us.
LiveScan (Electronic) Fingerprinting
This service includes capturing fingerprints that are electronically forwarded to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System and FBI, who then use the fingerprints and personal information to run a complete criminal history record check (CHRC). From this information, the regulatory agency and employer determine if there is anything in the records that would disqualify the individual from serving in the program/profession/or obtaining the applied license.
To save time while at the office, please print and complete the Livescan Fingerprinting form and bring it with you along with a valid Government issued photo ID.
Fingerprint (INK) Cards:
Ink Card Fingerprinting Service, also known as Fingerprint Cards or Ink Cards (FD-258), are generally used when an applicant is applying for a job, license or permit outside of the state in which they currently live. Fingerprint Cards/Ink Cards are used for Federal Background Checks or when there is an issue with processing a LiveScan fingerprint.
ESS is certified to provide Out Of State ink cards for all other states, including Florida & Utah for Carry Permits.
Mobile Services
Mobile Live Scan (Electronic Fingerprinting) and Fingerprint cards:
ESS offers the convenience of on-site fingerprinting service (Livescan and/or Ink), where one or more of our Certified Fingerprint Technicians will travel to your facility to fingerprint your staff, volunteers, or students.
Mobile Notary Service is also available.
ESS can collect payment from you or the person being fingerprinted at the time of service, or you may make arrangements for Direct Billing to you after the work is completed. Contact us to arrange a Mobile Fingerprinting Service or to inquire about the cost of this service.
Fieldprint Fingerprinting and Services
Fieldprint provides a unique suite of identity management services unparalleled in breadth, sophistication abd user-friendliness.
Through our partnership with Fieldprint, ESS can assist with all Fieldprint services. We operate their equipment in our Eldersburg, Gambrills and Westminster locations during our normal business hours.

For nearly 25 years, PrintScan has grown to one of the leading fingerprinting service provider in the United States.
With our PrintScan partnership, ESS Eldersburg location is the only provider in Carroll County with the ability to provide ATF EFT files.

Biometrics4all provides a unique suite of identity management services unparalleled in breadth, sophistication and user-friendliness.
Through our partnership with Biometrics4all, ESS can assist with all Biometrics4all services. These services include FBI Criminal History Reports, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for Brokers and Dealers, California Fingerprint Background Check, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
